Instead of constantly stopping and restarting at junctions –
anticipate the traffic ahead – and adjust your speed so you don’t have to stop
What the experts say:
Hypermiling works in theory but the real-world application is very dangerous and could easily lead to accidents.
The Hypermiling Safety Foundation was set up in 2008 and works to promote safe hypermiling techniques.
According to CleanMPG, by driving 55mph instead of 65mph, you can improve your fuel economy by 10%.
